Activities

  • Dress the girls up in tutus and have them stage their own performance of the Nutcracker Ballet; to the backdrop of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite (have enough tutus on hand so that each girl has one to wear and then take home as a party favor).
  • Set up a work table so the girls can decorate their own construction paper crowns (with glue sticks, craft "gems", colored glitters, ribbons, etc.) to wear for the performance of their "ballet".
  • Invite another mommy over to paint little faces in proper sugarplum fairy fashion.
  • Follow lunch with a trip to your local theater for a viewing of The Nutcracker in 3D (which opened in theaters November 24, 2010).
