Originated in the alps, the Apres Ski Party took place on the last run of the day. Skiers stopped at different chalets on their way down the hill to indulge in food and drink.

Invitations

Make old fashion snow flakes using white or light gray construction paper. Or, use a snowflake wood block stamp to decorate your invitation. Each one can be different, just like real snow flakes. Glue the snowflakes to folded construction paper. Use colors that will go with the theme of your party. Inside provide details for your event; date, time, location, etc.

Set the Scene

You've just spent all day in a winter wonderland, so here are ideas to keep the snowy winter theme going for your party:

Light a roaring fire in the fireplace
Vases filled with white flowers set on the serving table with a dusting of fake snow.
Candles wrapped in 'birch' will bring the outdoors inside. Arrange scented pine cones around the candles.
Position old skis, snowshoes or sleds around the room.
Hang photos youy've taken on ski trips on the walls.
Ski posters (retro or modern), hung on a wall or two, will add a ski resort feel to the party.

Activities

Whether it's an adult only or a family party, gather around the fireplace and play a few games. Then watch a Warren Miller ski film!!
