Bacon Wrapped, Almond Stuffed Dates

The almond crunch, sweetness from the date and the salty bacon come together nicely for a very tasty bite.

COOK TIME: 10 min.
INGREDIENTS
8 ounces pitted dates
1 pound regular sliced bacon
4 ounces whole almonds
DIRECTIONS
  1. Slice dates and insert almond.
  2. Cut each bacon strip in half. Wrap bacon around stuffed date, secure with a tooth pick. The bacon strip should wrap around the date 1-1/2 to 2 times.
  3. Place bacon wrapped dates on a foil lined baking sheet.  Broil for 10 minutes.  Watch closely to make sure that bacon browns evenly.
