Trader Joe's Wild Mushroom and Black Truffle Flatbread

Last week we wandered the aisles of our fav store, Trader Joes, looking for a treat.  This flatbread looked delicious, so we decided to give it a try.  Now comes the tricky part.  Usually, the three of us are in agreement regarding our reviews.  Not this time!  On a positive note; we all agreed that the flavor was good.  Now, comes the disagreement.... Two of us thought it was too "bready" (is there such a thing?  I suppose you can tell who wasn't bothered by the "breadiness"!).  And, one of us thought it was too salty.  Here are our findings:

  • Appearance- Looked like the photo on the box.  Score- "A"
  • Flavor- We were divided on this.  But for the most part we liked the flavor.  Score- "B"
  • Texture- Two of us thought it was too "bready".  Score- "B minus"
  • Cost- At $4.69- more than we usually spend on a frozen appetizer and we were mixed about the flavor and texture.  Score "B minus"

Overall score "B".  Depending on the circumstance we might purchase it again.  Well, at least one of us would!
