Basil & Sour Cream Salami Crisps

Tasty and easy to make.  A good thing, as these will be gobbled up quickly.

INGREDIENTS

24 slices (1/4" thick) dry Italian sausage

1/3 cup sour cream

3 tablespoons fresh basil - thinly sliced

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line 2 large baking sheets with foil.  Place salami slices on foil wrapped baking sheets.  Bake in oven for approximately 15 minutes, watching closely to make sure they brown evenly and edges don't burn.   Place salami slices on paper towels to drain and cool.
  3. To serve, place a dollop of sour cream on each salami slice, then sprinkle each with basil.
  4. The salami crisps can be made ahead- store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 8 hours.
